Backend not reachable

  • Deploy backend/ on Render.com (Hostinger shared hosting does not run Python). See backend/DEPLOY.md.
  • Set BACKEND_URL on Hostinger dashboard to your Render URL, e.g. https://aivora-meta-api.onrender.com
  • API needs Supabase + REDIS_URL (free at upstash.com) and CORS_ORIGINS including aivorameta.com.
  • Run schema/migrations on Supabase before setup.

How to connect your backend

aivorameta.com on Hostinger runs the Next.js dashboard only. Hostinger shared hosting does not run Python — deploy the backend/ folder on Render.com (free), then set BACKEND_URL on Hostinger.

Split setup: Dashboard = Hostinger · API = Render (or Railway / Hostinger VPS). Users only visit aivorameta.com; the dashboard calls the API in the background.
Recommended

Option A — Render.com (best for Hostinger)

Free Python hosting

  1. Push repo to GitHub → render.com → New Web Service.
  2. Root directory: backend · Start: uvicorn backend.main:app --host 0.0.0.0 --port $PORT
  3. Add env: SUPABASE_URL, SUPABASE_DB_PASSWORD, JWT_SECRET, REDIS_URL (Upstash free), CORS_ORIGINS=https://aivorameta.com
  4. Run supabase/schema.sql in Supabase. Test https://YOUR-APP.onrender.com/health
  5. Hostinger dashboard env: BACKEND_URL=https://YOUR-APP.onrender.com → restart.

Option B — Custom subdomain later

api.aivorameta.com → Render

  1. After Render deploy works, add custom domain api.aivorameta.com in Render settings.
  2. Hostinger DNS → CNAME: api → your-service.onrender.com
  3. Update BACKEND_URL=https://api.aivorameta.com on Hostinger dashboard.
  4. See backend/DEPLOY.md in the repo for full steps.

Option C — Hostinger VPS only

If you have VPS, not shared hosting

  1. Shared Hostinger = Node/PHP only. Python needs a VPS plan or external host.
  2. On VPS: docker compose up in backend/ or run uvicorn directly.
  3. Point api.aivorameta.com A record to VPS IP · BACKEND_URL=https://api.aivorameta.com

Why not aivorameta.com/api ?

Next.js already uses /api/login, /api/setup, etc. A Python API on the same path would conflict. Use a separate URL (Render or subdomain) — visitors never open it directly.

Environment variables are set in your Hostinger app settings. After changing NEXT_PUBLIC_* values, redeploy the dashboard for changes to take effect.
